Library of Birmingham.
A personal project built on the back of my photography experiments based around the impressive architecture of the Library of Birmingham. The photos explore a technique called ‘double exposure’ - a traditional photography method where two image ‘captures’ (exposures) are made to be taken on the same piece of film, resulting in a doubling up and layering effect of both images together.
I experimented with this technique using exposures captured from the Library itself combined with exposures captured from the surrounding statues within the vicinity. I actually quite love the result of this experimenting and would like to play more with this technique in the future.
